- Visit Nearest CSC Centre (Jan Seva Kendra)
Biometric fingerprint verification is mandatory — self-registration from home is not possible. Carry all original documents to your nearest Common Service Centre. Find your nearest CSC by asking at your local gram panchayat or block office.
2. Complete Aadhaar e-KYC and Biometric Verification
The CSC operator verifies your Aadhaar number via OTP and fingerprint biometric. Ensure your mobile number is active and Aadhaar-linked before visiting the CSC centre. Without this, the biometric OTP process will fail.
3. Select Tailor / Darzi as Your Trade Category
On the PM Vishwakarma registration form, select Tailor / Darzi as your trade. This is the most critical step — selecting any other trade will disqualify you from the sewing machine toolkit grant entirely.
4. Fill Application Form and Upload Documents
The CSC operator fills your personal, family and bank details on the portal and uploads all required documents. Simultaneously, you are registered on the Udyam Assist Platform as an MSME entrepreneur — giving you formal business identity.
5. Gram Panchayat or ULB Verification (7–15 Days)
Your application moves to the local Gram Panchayat for rural areas or Urban Local Body for towns and cities. Initial eligibility and document verification is done at this level. This stage typically takes 7 to 15 working days.
6. District Implementation Committee Approval (20–35 Days)
After GP-level clearance, the District Implementation Committee reviews and provides final approval. The complete process from submission to DIC approval generally takes 20 to 35 days depending on the application volume in your district.
7. Attend Free Tailoring Training (5–15 Days)
Once approved, attend free professional tailoring training at a designated centre. A stipend of ₹500 per day is credited directly to your bank account for every day of attendance. Do not miss training days as attendance is tracked.
8. Receive ₹15,000 Toolkit E-Voucher
After completing training, a ₹15,000 Toolkit E-Voucher is issued to your registered mobile number. Redeem this voucher at any government-empanelled vendor to purchase a new sewing machine. Voucher is valid for 180 days from date of issue.
