The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has announced a recruitment drive for 237 Lecturer (Technical) positions under Advertisement Nos. 72 to 87 of 2024. These Group-B posts are within the Directorate of Technical Education, Haryana. The online application process will commence on February 4, 2025, and conclude on February 19, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Candidates must possess both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in the relevant engineering or technical field, with at least a first-class qualification in either degree.
  • Additionally, applicants should have studied Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject in their matriculation or higher education.

Age Limit:

  • Applicants should be between 21 and 42 years of age as of February 19, 2025.
  • Age relaxation is applicable for certain categories:
    • Scheduled Castes (SC) and Backward Classes (BC) of Haryana: 5 years
    • Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): 5 years; additional relaxation for SC/BC candidates up to a maximum of 52 years
    • Other relaxations are available for ex-servicemen, widowed or legally divorced women, judicially separated women, and unmarried women, subject to specific conditions.

Application Fee:

  • General (Male) and Other State Male Candidates: ₹1000
  • General (Female) and Other State Female Candidates: ₹250
  • Reserved categories (SC, BC-A, BC-B, EWS of Haryana): ₹250
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwBD) of Haryana: No fee

The application fee must be paid online using net banking, debit cards, or credit cards. Once paid, fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another examination.

Selection Process:

The selection process comprises the following stages:

  1. Screening Test: An initial multiple-choice question test to shortlist candidates.
  2. Subject Knowledge Test: A detailed assessment of the candidate’s expertise in the relevant subject, significantly impacting the final score.
